Subscription boxes, June & July summary

I've been curious about the book subscription boxes for awhile. It sounds like a neat idea, mystery items shipped right to you every month.

This was my first subscription box, and it was sort of an accident. I wanted the next month's box but signed up early, so I did receive the June box.

July theme: Good vs Evil 

I received the "good" box and the thing I liked best about it was that even if you stumble across spoilers on social media, you still have a surprise when the box shows up!

The Jury's still out on Owlcrate, I might try one more month if the theme looks good. I have a feeling I am a little older than their typical subscriber but I can still pass along goodies to my kids and relatives.

July Theme Fantasy (Women’s plus size subscription)

This was the box I was waiting on because I love fantasy. Unfortunately I had a five day shipping delay so the opening was spoiled. The main feature for this box is the T shirt, not a book, which I kinda like since I am a picky reader.

* The quote was supposedly from Tolkien, but it was sort of an odd pick. There are so many awesome LOTR quotes so I was a little disappointed.  The shirt itself is nice and lightweight so I may keep it for summer workouts.

So that's if for June - July. I decided after seeing the Owlcrate theme that I would put that account on hold for August but I am getting two others though so I will be back next month. Do you subscribe to any subscription boxes? Which ones do you love? Eager to hear your thoughts.
